The game was set in Bura, Voi. Another away match, could the Eagles turn their away fortunes around? So far they have managed to get 4 points from their 7 matches. Earlier in the season the Eagles beat the Small Tigers 4-2 at their Serani home. Could they do a double over them?

First Half

The referee started the match with MEFC Max and Charles kicking off. Chome didn’t react quick enough as his pass got charged down and our starting plan went to shreds. This yielded Small Tiger’s first chance at to run at our goal but a tame shot was gathered by Ouma in goal. A sign of things to come? Hopefully not.

Small Tigers were first to settle and were aggressive to the tackle but this didn’t deter the Eagles as they slowly made their way into the game. Suleiman was the busier of our full backs making runs at the opponents and also defending the Tigers attacks that seem to be coming mostly from our left side. A throw-in by Suleiman to Kalama was mis controlled. Possession lost on that play allowed the Tigers to make a run at our defenders and a hard shot beat Ouma to give the Small Tigers a 1-0 lead. A long clearance evaded Sebunya’s but it wasn’t only the ball that evaded him, his marker also read the balls bounce well and got going before Sebunya could react. العب واربح فلوس Clear sight at goal and he didn’t need two invitations as he also found the back of the net with Ouma helpless to prevent the goal. 2-0 to Small Tigers

Second Half

The Eagles had a mountain to climb to come from 2 nil down. We started the half with drive and purpose. A faster tempo and tighter marking was evidently being employed by the Eagles.

This ploy was successful in us gaining territory on our opponent’s half. The closer you are to your opponent’s goal the better your chances of scoring. A well worked move from Sulieman to Kalama who fed Rajab who in turn passed it to Sebunya. Rama was released by Sebunya with a cute pass. حكم القمار في الالعاب Rama drove in to the box and gave a good pass. Max and Samuel couldn’t convert as the chance went begging. Head in the hands for Samuel as he was closest.

Some good interchange of passes between Rajab, Charles and Max allowed Rama an ample time to find Seif who was coming in from their blind side. His first touch was good but he lost his step and the goalie rushed out to gather the ball and the chance was lost.

Our good play resulted in a free-kick just outside the ‘D’. Rama and Sebunya stood over the ball ready to convert the chance. The Small Tigers’ defensive did the job and blocked Rama’s attempt. Rama reacted to the loose ball but pressure from the Tigers saw them recover the ball. A lofted ball over the top had our defenders back peddling but their striker attacked the pass and got to the pass. He charged forward and before Ouma could react a thunderous shot hit the roof of the net. 3-0 to the Small Tigers.

Our misery was compounded with a straight red for Wafula who was adjudged to have used his elbow to fend off an opponent. The referee ended the match soon after with the Eagles having to start their long journey home to Mombasa.
