The weather was glorious, perhaps an omen of the final result? ESFC and MEFC had both suffered losses in the previous match. MEFC had collected 1 point from 9 available on their 3 road games. A bounce-back opportunity was available for both teams. Who will stamp their authority or who will come out on top? The Eagles haven’t lost at home this season.

The match got underway and the Eagles made a dash into the danger area of the visitors and almost fashioned a chance. The visitors settled early but once the Eagles had settled they started applying pressure on the visitors end. Samuel was keeping the defenders on their toes, Rama was floating in some hard crosses from his flank, good interchanging of passes between Evans, Charles and Rashid in the middle of the park. العب اون لاين مجانا It was in one of the moves where Samuel got the ball and aimed at goal where a deflection took the ball past the despairing dive of the keeper and into the net. 1-0 to MEFC. Samuel steadying himself for a short

The visitors started making good combination plays and progressing the ball dangerously close to the danger area of the home team. The defense was compact with Kennedy, Muhsin and the aggressive pair of fullbacks in Seif and Suleiman. In one of the rare lapses of communication which resulted in hesitation from the pair, their tricky winger managed to steal between Muhsin and Kennedy but keeper Kassim was ready to stop the danger. موقع بوكر The keeper was a bit late in getting to the ball or the winger was very fast but the result was that Kassim and the winger made contact and falling theatrically in our box the referee pointed to the spot. Their captain stepped up and slotted it past Kassim.1-1 is how the half ended.

The second half started with the Eagles pilling the pressure on the visitors, pegging them back in their own half. In one of the Eagles attacks, Sulieman was felled but the referee deemed it a fair tackle. With the Stars getting possession and Suleiman down, they had acres of space down the Eagles’ left and launched their first attack of the half. A thunderous shot ensued that beat Kassim on his left near post. 2-1 to the Stars and they had a celebration to boot.

Eleven Stars’ 2nd Goal

There was no sense of panic from the Eagles only that the goal took everyone by surprise as it seemed that it could have been saved. We are at home and we have always come back and even this time the feeling was the same. In under 5mins the teams were level again. A cross from the left to the far post was met authoritatively by Alawi who rose higher than his marker. 2-2 with 15mins to go.

MEFC celebrating Alawi’s equalizer

8 mins later a good interchange of passes resulted in a shot from Rashid who got pushed down but no foul given. Pandemonium in the Stars defense meant that they couldn’t clear their lines properly and the ball bounced off the captain’s arm. Handball!!! Said everyone body. The referee pointed to the spot. Rashid picked himself up a usual coolly dispatched the penalty making it 3-2 to Eagles.

Rashid & Abdul celebrating Rashid’s winner

Some late chances from either side but all are still talking about, “What if Charles had squared the ball to the queuing Eagles’ players in the box and instead of hitting the outside net?” That didn’t matter in the end because the referee brought the match to an end with MEFC notching up a 3rd successive win at home. When we come back from our 1 week break from league duties we shall have 3 fixtures on the trot at home here is to hoping that we can put together a run of good results to take us closer to the top.
