Redemption Sunday
The visitors Mshomoroni United were coming from a loss and so were the Mombasa Eagles who had been whitewashed in the previous match day. Both teams were looking to put their respective losses on the back banner. Problem for Mshomoroni is that the Eagles have only dropped 2 points out of a possible 18 available points at their Serani home. The last time the teams met Mshomoroni United won 2-0. A few changes to the Eagles’ line up from the loss in Voi saw Habib, Juma, Rashid, Chichi, Kassim, Brandon, Evans and Abijah come in with Kalama, Sebunya and Max the only ones maintained from their 3-0 loss against Small Tigers.

First Half
The Eagles started the match attacking the right goal with Max, Abijah and Evans leading the front line. Evans didn’t waste time in creating havoc in the Mshomoroni defense, snapping at their heels, stealing the ball, dribbling and driving into the box.
The 10th minuted saw some good interchange of passes saw Max contest the ball with the goalie. The goalie couldn’t gather well. Abijah was alive to the situation as he reacted fast to the loose ball. Down he went after getting chopped by the keeper. The referee pointed to the spot. Rashid, who has had 100% record from the spot, stepped up to take the penalty. العاب قمار حقيقية He slotted it nicely giving the keeper no chance. 1-0
In the 25th minute the Eagles lost the ball on their left side but were not quick enough to get it. Mshomoroni got a chance to run behing the defense and run they did. betfinal بالعربي A cross in our box saw an attempted clearance by Sebunya saw the ball hit his hand. With no advantage the referee pointed to the spot. Kassim in the Eagle’s goal had no chance at saving the penalty and thus the parity was restored. 1-1.

Mshomoroni were on the up and they were causing a few uncomfortable situations for the home team. A Mshomoroni freekick in the 28th minute was punched away by Kassim. On the other side Evans brought in a lovely cross that Abijah couldn’t direct goal wards with the ball trickling out for a goal kick. Sebunya brought in a cross from the left with Evans stealing ahead of the defense and getting to the ball first. Nothing came out of this as the referee pulled the ball back for offside.

Just before the half ended a quick release by Kassim to Evans saw him clean through with the ball. He was now eye-ball to eye-ball with the keeper who was now charging at him to try and thwart the attack. Evans took a shot which the keeper couldn’t keep a hold of. The rebound fell to Abijah again. De ja vue? Of course! As in the first goal Abijah was alive to the rebound and just like the first time the keeper brought him down. The referee pointed to the spot and Rashid didn’t miss from the spot. 2-1 is how the half ended

Second Half
The Eagles continued with where they left of in the first half. They pressurized the Mshomoroni and restricted them to their own half. A few corners brought the Eagles some half chances and in one Mshomoroni managed to conjure up a counter but Habib was on his toes to clear the danger. In another corner Abijah got the cleared ball but he couldn’t find the target as he shot wide.
In the 60th minute a lovely cross by Sebunya saw Max connect with a glancing header to send the ball to the bottom right corner. Cue the celebrations as now we were further head and Mshomoroi shoulders dropped. 3-1
Evans and Max were replaced with Abdul-hakim and Rama on the 70th minute. Abdul went about making a nuisance of himself against the Mshomoroni defense. He closed them down, hurried them and blocked their passes making it hard for them to build up play.
The tide had now fully change with Mshomoroni retreating to limit the damage. Some lovely touches saw the ball move nicely from the back to the middle where Abijah had dropped to collect the ball. A swift turn saw him face the defense. He slipped to Abdul who fed Rama. Rama passed to Sebunya and brought in a lovely cross that Abdul connected to extend our lead. 4-1

The tempo had now slowed. Rama like the show-man he is, took the ball near the middle of the pitch. كيف تلعب بوكر He took a turn. While most were asking for him to pass the ball, he dribbled past not one, not two but three Mishomoroni players and released a rocket to the roof of the net. Cue the celebrations. 5-1
That was the second consecutive game with a win of 5-1. Next trip sees us go to Changamwe to face Changamwe FC. We hope that we can get some medication for our travel sickness.
